Project Overview

Providence Public School District scheduled a January 19, 2023, networking event for non-white teachers only. Legal Insurrection Foundation, which previously filed a pending administrative complaint charging PPSD with civil rights violations for a racially discriminatory loan-forgiveness program, challenged the discriminatory nature of the networking event.

Our Involvement

LIF sent a letter notifying the venue owner of the planned event’s discriminatory nature. The January 19, 2023 event was then opened to white educators.
