Case Overview
Legal Insurrection Foundation sued State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical Center over its refusal to respond to requests under New York’s Freedom of Information Law. LIF sought the documents after receiving a report that administratively-driven racial identity politics were consuming the school. The court sustained LIF’s petition “with respect to Request #2 and as to Request #7 as to meeting minutes, meeting agendas and presentation material… [and] electronic records for Dr. Dykes…” and ordered the documents turned over to LIF.
